City of Irwinton

The city is situated in the middle of the county with neighboring cities Toomsboro, Gordon and McIntyre. Irwinton is located off Ga. 57 in the central region of the state commonly referred to as the Magnolia Midlands.

According to 2000 Census, the City of Irwinton had a population of 587 persons. Between 1990 and 2000, the city experienced a population decrease of -8.4%, compared to the state growth during this period of 26.4%.
